The reserve covers town areas at the border of Pahang and connected with another reserve that has the same name in Selangor. The interesting thing abouth these reserves about their wildlife especially birds and butterflies. At altitude of 1,219 metres, bird species have similarities with that of in the Himalayas. Parts of the reserve are managed by other agencies.
