National Elephant Conservation Centre, Kuala Gandah

How to Get to National Elephant Conservation Centre, Kuala Gandah, Lanchang, Pahang.

The journey to Kuala Gandah, Lanchang, Pahang from Kuala Lumpur by own transportation takes about 2 hours through East Coast Expressway (Lebuh Raya Pantai Timur) end up at Lanchang junction.



There are accommodation provided nearby National Elephant Conservation Centre (NECC) such as homestay managed by local communities.


Nature Guide Services

Visitors are encouraged to use Nature Guide Services during your visit at NECC Kuala Gandah. Fee of  RM50.00 for one Nature Guide Service (Maximum 12 people for one nature guide service).

1. Riverside in the area of baby elephants

Adult elephants bathe with mahout (activity depends on river water level and weather) – 2nd session only at 2.15pm

(The bonding between the elephants and mahout, depending on the weather condition)

3. Next to the area of baby elephants

Make friend with the baby elephants

( depending on the baby elephants health condition)

Main gate


The main gate is closed to the visitors. Visitors who are already inside the centre can be around the centre till 4.15pm.


All activities are depends on the river water level and the current weather. If the river water level is high and it rains heavily, no activities will be carried out. Thank you
